Representatives of the IBA Alumni Chapter met today with IBA’s Finance, Alumni Affairs and Internal Audit teams to take forward an initiative spearheaded by Fahad Ali, Alumni Representative on the IBA Board of Governors, together with the IBA Alumni Karachi Chapter. The objective is to explore a structured and sustainable mechanism through which the collective strength of the IBA alumni community can further support deserving students and strengthen IBA’s broader scholarship ecosystem. Today’s discussion focused on getting the fundamentals right — governance, transparency, independent oversight, accountability, financial controls and reporting mechanisms — so that whatever is ultimately created is credible, transparent and sustainable over the long term. There are still details to work through before we can share more, but it was great to see everyone aligned around a common purpose: giving back to IBA and creating an institutional platform through which alumni across chapters can make a lasting difference. More to come as the initiative takes shape. 🙌
